Baidu Selected for S&P Sustainability Yearbook (China Edition) 2024

On July 16, S&P Global, the worlds largest financial market index provider, released its Sustainability Yearbook (China Edition) 2024. After assessing the sustainable development of enterprises in China Mainland, Hong Kong and Macau from 60 industries, Baidu was honored to have been ed as one of 129 enterprises, out of more than 1,700.
The Sustainability Yearbook (China Edition) aims to identify and recognize China Mainland/ Hong Kong/ Macau based companies that have demonstrated sustainability strengths in their respective fields. S&P Global assesses ESG performances of firms on three dimensions that domestic and foreign investors are most concerned about: Environmental (including climate strategy, greenhouse gas emissions, etc.), Social (including human capital development, privacy protection, content responsibility, etc.), and Governance and Economic (including risk management, innovation management, etc.), and ESG leaders in various industries and issue recognition.
Requirements for inclusion in the yearbook are:
* The CSA score of the enterprise is not less than 30 points
* Must be in the top 15% of the industry
* The gap with the industrys highest score is within 30%
According to the Sustainable Development Yearbook (China Edition) 2024, Baidu was recognized as a "Nominated Enterprise". In the "Interactive Media, Services and Home Entertainment" industry of which Baidu operates in, only 6 companies were succuesfully listed.
