Recently, Baidu has publicly disclosed the comprehensive management data on information security for the second quarter of 2024. The Baidu Content Safety Center cleared a total of over 16.06 billion pieces of harmful information during this period. Among these, more than 16.04 billion pieces of harmful information primarily related to pornography, gambling, and similar categories were unearthed and combated through artificial intelligence technology; additionally, over 24.35 million pieces of harmful information mainly related to pornography, infringement, and similar categories were combated through manual inspection methods.

Regarding the main business lines specifically, Baidu Search cleared over 15.9 billion pieces of harmful information in the second quarter, Baidu Tieba intercepted over 105 million pieces of harmful information, Baidu Cloud cleaned up over 35.72 million harmful files, and Baijiahao cleared over 830,000 pieces of various harmful information.

In the second quarter, the Baidu Content Safety Center continued to carry out special crackdown and management actions against pornography, clearing a total of 76,312 sets of pornographic harmful keywords, 13,660 sets of guiding words, banning 1,133,692 related accounts, closing 3,742 Tieba forums, and clearing over 7.5 billion harmful links.

Furthermore, during the second quarter, Baidu compensated or refunded 74,809 user feedbacks through the Internet User Rights Protection Plan, involving a total amount of over 3.058 million yuan.
